1. The Origin Story
In the modern web era, knowledge workers, creators, and developers spend their entire day inside browser tabs. However, standard web browsers were never designed to manage 30+ full web applications simultaneously:
- Tabs get lost among hundreds of open pages, dev tools, and research links.
- Logging into multiple accounts of the same service (e.g. personal Gmail vs work Gmail) requires opening separate incognito windows or multiple browser profiles.
- Using a proxy or VPN forces the entire operating system or browser onto that proxy, breaking internal company tools and slowing down general web traffic.
OneAppDock solves this elegantly. It consolidates all web services into a dedicated floating dock, gives each service its own sandboxed cookie jar, and enables granular per-account proxy tunneling.
2. Architecture: Lightweight & Native
Instead of bundling a massive, resource-heavy browser engine for each tab, OneAppDock leverages native platform webview runtimes:
- Windows Desktop (v1.3.3): Utilizes Microsoft Edge Chromium Webview2, sharing memory efficiently with Windows OS libraries. Tabs consume low background memory, and inactive services can be suspended to keep your CPU cool and battery healthy.
- Android Companion (v1.0.6): An astonishingly featherlight 43 MB direct APK that provides instant access to your favorite web apps without the overhead of heavy third-party app bloatware.
3. Radical Privacy: Zero Telemetry
Privacy is not a checkbox or marketing afterthought for OneAppDock—it is the foundational constraint that guided its software design:

4. Free, Independent, & Open
OneAppDock is completely free to download and use. There are no paywalls, no recurring subscriptions, and no registration forms.
Releases, bug reports, and community feature requests are managed transparently on GitHub. We invite developers and security researchers to inspect our releases and contribute feedback.
